LOS ANGELES -- Writer-producers Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd were mulling ideas for the 2009 TV season when they landed on an intriguing sitcom approach, one revolving around an extended family and done in the “mockumentary” style made popular by “The Office.”

Where’s Haley? It’s a question that many Modern Family fans have been asking during the final season of the ABC sitcom, as the character, portrayed by Sarah Hyland, has had much less screen time than usual during season 11.

In an interview to Cosmopolitan, the actress opened up about her take on the end of the popular series, reports etonline.com.
