In late February, Paramount Pictures halted production on Tom Cruise's "Mission: Impossible 7," which was set to shoot in Venice, Italy, this spring as the coronavirus pandemic exploded.
It looks like Mission: Impossible 7 is eyeing a September restart after production on the film was shut down earlier this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
“Mission Impossible 7” is set to restart filming in September, positioning itself as a test for Hollywood to get back to producing major blockbusters following the COVID-19 pandemic. Production on the Tom Cruise-led franchise’s seventh installment halted months ago as a precaution to protect cast and crew from the coronavirus in Italy, where shooting was set to take place prior to the country becoming an epicenter for the outbreak in Europe.
“Mission: Impossible 7” holds the distinction of being the first major Hollywood production to be halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film was scheduled to begin work in Italy when the country’s outbreak occurred in late-February/early-March.
