Radio 4 listeners had quite the wake-up this morning after actress Miriam Margolyes launched into an expletive outburst about the new Chancellor.
Ms Margoyles, star of Harry Potter films, Little Shop of Horrors, and many more, was appearing on the flagship radio breakfast show ‘Today’ this morning (October 15) to talk about the passing of Robbie Coltrane, who also acted in the Harry Potter franchise. She was on air at roughly 8:30am.
She was to be followed by a feature on the new Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt. Mr Hunt was appointed to the post yesterday, after PM Liz Truss sacked Kwasi Kwarteng from the role after just 38 days.

She continued: “The thing is, when I saw him there, I just said ‘you’ve got a hell of a job, the best of luck!’ What I really wanted to say was f*** you! B*****d! But you can’t say that.”
Quickly, presenter Justin Webb apologised for the outburst from the 81-year-old Margolyes. However, a clip of the incident was taken by Guardian media editor Jim Waterson, who shared it on Twitter.
After less than an hour, the tweet had earned more than 3,000 likes and almost 1,000 retweets. Many users reacting to the clip said Ms Margolyes was ‘the mouthpiece for the nation’.
Rhian Langham added: “Oh this has made me laugh so much this
