Minari, Alan Kim, is joining the sitcom Nora From Queens.As reported in TV Line, Kim, who received much critical praise for his performance in Minari, will play a key role in season two of the hit show.The publication reports: “In flashbacks, Kim will guest star as the young version of Nora’s dad Wally (played in the present day by cast member BD Wong).”Kim starred alongside Steven Yeun, Han Ye-ri, Noel Kate Cho, Youn Yuh-jung, and Will Patton in Minari.

After a standout performance in Lee Isaac Chung's Minari and a tearful acceptance speech when he won the Critics Choice Award for best young actor, 8-year-old Alan Kim has quickly become this season's awards darling. Kim spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about his experience on his film debut and shared some acting advice he garnered working with his SAG-nominated co-stars Steven Yeun and Youn Yuh-jung.

acclaimed drama “Minari,” but it was his adorable acceptance speech that stole the show — at one point asking himself “Is this a dream?”Kim stars opposite Steven Yeun in the film about a South Korean family in the 1980s who moves to the rural US. On Sunday night, the youngster broke down in tears upon receiving the award.
