Millions more people to get £299 cost of living payment within days

Millions of tax credit claimants will soon receive the £299 cost of living payment.
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) previously confirmed that eligible claimants who exclusively receive payments from them will be paid between February 16 and February 22. The payment will be sent out automatically by HMRC so there will be no need to apply for it.
Many eligible claimants may have already received a text from the government department informing them of how much they will receive and when they can expect to receive it. However, it's important to note that being informed of the cost of living payment is not a guarantee that a claimant will receive it.
