Millie Mackintosh has revealed that she felt a 'loss of identity' after becoming a mother back in 2020. The former Made In Chelsea star, 33, shares daughters, Sienna, two, and Aurelia, 17 months, with husband Hugo Taylor. And in a new interview with OK!, she shared that she found trouble with fashion and having her own identity after giving birth - but has found her mojo again.
Recently committing to lead a more healthy lifestyle, Millie is also celebrating seven months sober after giving up alcohol. She previously shared that the decision to go sober came as alcohol is a 'trigger' for her anxiety. Millie spoke with the magazine on her new venture with fashion brand Paolita, and touched on the journey with her own style too.
Explaining how motherhood impacted this, she told OK!: 'I definitely felt a loss of identity after having kids. 'The best advice I can give is don't feel the pressure to be led by trends, because they won't last. For me personally, colour is like therapy.
It makes me feel good and I love the transformative therapy of clothes'. Giving birth to eldest child Sienna during lockdown, this led to a spiral of post-natal depression for Millie - with her now sharing that the identity loss came with this. Previously admitting that the birth was 'daunting', Millie was also forced to give birth solo, without husband Hugo by her side - due to pandemic restrictions.
Millie also touched on her recent lifestyle overhaul, which saw her give up alcohol, sharing: 'I'm seven months into no alcohol and I'm really focusing on my gut health. 'After having kids, I kept getting sick. I'd get taken down by something, recover for about a week, and then get taken down by something else.
