Steven J. Horowitz Senior Music Writer More than four years after leaving CAA for WME, Miley Cyrus has once again signed with CAA for representation in all areas. Cyrus’ return to CAA comes 15 years after she moved her TV and movie career from UTA over to CAA, which had already repped her for music.
She parted ways with CAA and signed with WME in February 2020, setting off a chain of business shifts that saw her sign with Columbia Records and join Crush Management in 2021. Presently, she’s still repped by Crush and her attorney Bill Sobel at Laird and Sobel. The singer returns to CAA in the wake of her eighth studio album “Endless Summer Vacation,” which released in March 2023.
That project propelled Cyrus to the top of the charts on the back of single “Flowers,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks and broke Spotify’s record for most streams in a single week with 100 million listens. In February, “Flowers” won two Grammy awards, for record of the year and best pop solo performance, earning Cyrus her first wins at the annual event. Cyrus recently stated that she felt she wasn’t taken seriously at the Grammys until “Flowers” won.
“No shade, but I’ve been doing this for 20 years, and this is my first time actually being taken seriously at the Grammys?” she told W magazine. “I’ve had a hard time figuring out what the measurement is there, because if we want to talk stats and numbers, then where the fuck was I? And if you want to talk, like, impact on culture, then where the fuck was I? This is not about arrogance. I am proud of myself.” She most recently made a cameo on Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” for the duet “II Most Wanted,” which is already drumming up Grammy buzz for next year’s ceremony.

Vanity Fair profile, an “executive murder plot” killed the movie and nearly took his career out with it.“Vice Versa” was a body-swap movie that starred Reinhold and Fred Savage playing the part of his son. It was released in 1988, and although the actor had appeared in a number of successful movies prior to this one, the movie did not perform at the box office.According to Reinhold, that was because of several things that went down behind the scenes. He explained that David Puttnam, a producer of “Chariots of Fire,” became the CEO of Columbia Pictures in 1986, and “he wanted to bring the price of lead actors down, but make the backend profits real.”Reinhold believed in his ideas, but “he wasn’t, unfortunately, around long enough to prove that formula” because of what he called an “executive murder plot” by higher-ups in the industry. He said that Puttnam “went public with his disdain for how high the salaries were and what he wanted to do, and he pissed a lot of people off.
