Migraine expert shares four foods that may bring 'permanent relief' to painful condition

Migraines are quite common but experts say that there is still a lack of understanding around the condition.
The NHS states that the form of headache affects 1 in 5 women and 1 in 15 men. Despite this, GP, Dr Sameer Sanghvi of LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor says people are still in the dark when it comes to knowing all the facts.
To combat this, the expert has shared seven facts about migraines that everyone should know about. Dr Sangvhi also says that the painful headaches can also be influenced by diet and suggests four foods that studies say may help ease their severity.
The medical professional added migraines can be impacted by changing weather patterns, particularly by sunny but milder spring conditions. They can also occur in children and may be seen less in pregnant women.
Explaining what a migraine is, Dr Sanghvi said: “Migraines are usually moderate or severe headaches that are felt as throbbing pain, usually on one side of the head. They can include other symptoms like nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light, and can severely affect your quality of life and stop you carrying out normal daily activities.”
