When most people think of a 'cheat meal' to indulge in on their days off, their mind might wander to indulgent chocolate cakes, a double-stacked burger or even a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. But that's certainly not the case for fitness expert duo Michelle Heaton and Hugh Hanley.
The husband and wife, who married in 2010 in the Bahamas, run their own fitness company Mission Possible Wellness, love nothing more than hitting the gym and even on their days off keep their treats to something rather healthy - sushi. “We love sushi – that’s absolutely our go-to when we want something exciting,” said Hugh.
The couple, who are now expanding their business by launching an app to help their clients achieve their own goals, love to meal plan and stick to the basics on the whole – especially Hugh, who would “gladly eat chicken and rice every day”. Michelle and Hugh admitted they make sure they have nutritional meals prepped ahead of time to keep them accountable when it comes to their fitness. With such a busy schedule and juggling two children, it’s important for the couple to have everything mapped out – and so that they can fit everything in, that includes Hugh setting their alarm for 5.30am each morning.
“I’m a bit of an anomaly,” he laughed. “I actually enjoy getting up early to go to the gym.” Michelle, on the other hand, prefers to wait until the sun has made an appearance before embracing her morning workout. “We’re definitely morning people when it comes to going to the gym, but I tend to drop the kids off at school and then go,” the star said, talking us through her day.
