Yes, this is a freakin’ church pastor we’re talking about! Per the outlet, J.P. was writing to apologize to his wife for posting a topless photo of her online. He said:
Notice how he apologizes but then immediately minimizes how bad it was because he took it down? That’s not all. He then jumps straight to explaining WHY he did it:
“Intimate details” of his “past sin”?? What’s that about? Well, this was reportedly less than two weeks before her death. So we can point to what she had been posting on her Facebook, which was newly wiped of his presence. There she made videos speaking out about escaping a “dangerous” situation and specifically addressed other Christian women suffering “abuse” at the hands of their husbands. That’s just what we have a record of. We can guess she was telling folks she knew about the upsetting specifics.
And we now have a better idea what those were. Two days after

Alissa Simon Film Critic American helmer Carson Lund uses the baseball diamond as a deeply cinematic space in his feature debut, “Eephus.” The esoteric title is the name of one of the game’s rarest pitches. “Eephus” marks the second film from the L.A. collective Omnes Films to screen in the Directors’ Fortnight along with “Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point,” which Lund shot.

Owen Gleiberman Chief Film Critic A year ago, the Cannes Film Festival presented the world premiere of what was widely taken to be Jean-Luc Godard’s final film. He had died by assisted suicide eight months before, and the 20-minute-long “Trailer of the Film That Will Never Exist: ‘Phony Wars'” felt, by nature, like the aestheticized version of a last will and testament. It was a collage film, and it was (surprise!) oblique, yet it offered tea leaves to read about Godard’s state of mind as he prepared to leave the world.

Omnes Films has a goal. “Our mission is to fill a void in modern cinema,” says its website. “Our films are passionate, ambitious works made by friends that favor atmosphere over plot and study the many forms of cultural decay in the 21st Century.
