The last of the participants at the Great Manchester Run could be affected when thunderstorms begin at 2pm, according to the Met Office forecast. City fans are being allowed onto the parade route from 6pm, and they could also be caught up in thunderstorms at around that time.
But the worst of the weather might be over before City's players begin to arrive. The Met Office expects the thunder to make way for heavy rain by 7pm.
Those downpours will turn to light rain at around 8pm before coming to a halt by 9pm, with temperatures dropping from 15C to 14C during the course of the parade. City will depart from Cathedral Gardens at 7.30pm, before travelling through Exchange Square and Deansgate, finishing outside Beetham Tower at around 9pm.
