The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain in parts of Scotland as flooding and thunder storms could hit today.
Southern parts of the country - including Dumfries, Galloway, Lothian and Borders - will all be affected by the heavy rainfall which is set to hit between just after 1pm and 5pm on Thursday.
The Met Office say that there could be as much as 20-25 mm of rain in less than an hour which could to 30-40 mm over three hours - potentially leading to some localised flooding in affected areas.
The Met Office said: "Slow-moving heavy showers with a chance of thunder are moving onshore across parts of Dumfries and Galloway this afternoon.
"By early evening, showers will tend to die out with drier conditions developing. A few locations may see 20-25 mm of rain in less than an hour, with a small chance of 30-40 mm falling in 2-3 hours."
It comes just two weeks after Scotland was placed under an amber warning for extreme heat with temperatures reaching the 30s in parts of the country.
The hottest day in Scotland's recorded history was also logged during the amber warning after the mercury rose to 34.8C in the Borders.
However, it now looks like the time for the sunscreen has passed with umbrellas being needed once again.
Scots should be mindful and cautions while the warning is in place, as the rainfall could be dangerous for drivers and pedestrians alike.
There may be some travel disruption as well as the localised flooding this afternoon.
