Temperatures in Greater Manchester are set to 29c over the weekend as the region is set for hours of sunshine.
A yellow heat-health alert, which covers the whole of the north west, has been issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and the Met Office from Friday to Monday morning.
The alert warns people to check on loved ones over the age of 65 and those with pre-existing medical conditions as the temperatures rise.
But it is good news if you are heading to Parklife Festival this weekend as you can expect to enjoy sunshine throughout most of Saturday and Sunday.
The Met Office has also warned a heatwave will likely be triggered in the region over the coming days.

The daily maximum temperature must reach 25C or higher in Greater Manchester for three consecutive days in a row to class as a heatwave. It is forecast to be over this threshold for every day from Saturday until Friday 16 June.
However there is a Thunderstorm warning in place for parts of Greater Manchester on Saturday from 2pm until 9pm which could break up for clear skies - but this is not expected to cause temperatures to drop. ds
