Melanie Lynskey is looking back on Ever After, 24 years after the Cinderella based movie debuted in theaters.
If you didn’t know, the 45-year-old Yellowjackets actress starred as one of the stepsisters, Jacqueline, in the film, opposite Drew Barrymore and Anjelica Huston.
In a new interview, Melanie opened up about the film.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Melanie recalled the magical time she had filming the movie in Dordogne, France.
“That was like a really wonderful time,” she shared, before recalling that Anjelica threw dinner parties with tons of French wine and singing, while Drew would take on the role of the DJ while the cast was shooting the flick.
Melanie added, “[I thought] moviemaking is magic, and they’re not all like that I came to learn. They’re not all so magic, but it was a good time.”
Streaming Starz, Hulu, and Prime Video, Ever After is an updated adaptation of the classic fairytale tells the story of Danielle (Barrymore), a vibrant young woman who is forced into servitude after the death of her father for her stepmother Rodmilla (Huston).
