Mel B is every inch the proud mum as she supports daughter Phoenix on The Games

Spice Girls star Mel B was overflowing with pride on Monday night as she appeared at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre to cheer on her daughter Phoenix Gulzar Brown during The Games. Phoenix, 23, is competing in the ITV sporting series, which sees 12 celebrities battle it out over a week of live programming as they take on a variety of Olympic events including diving, cycling, running and weightlifting.
Across five days, the 12 contestants will be competing live, with one male and one female champion crowned the winners at the end of the gruelling week. Ahead of tonight’s first event which saw Phoenix come second in the 100m hurdles, proud mum Mel B shared a sneak peek behind-the-scenes as she cheered her daughter on from the sporting venue.

Taking to Instagram, Mel B shared an exciting video as she declared: "We're going to see Phoenix live! Yes, Phoenix!" before hilariously exclaiming: "Oh my gosh, I sound like such a yob!" During the show, Mel B was also seen supporting her daughter as the ITV show's commentator pointed her out in the audience, saying: "There's Mel B, she's excited for her daughter." The Spice Girls star went all out and even sweetly held a huge sign which said "Team Phoenix!" as well as wearing a jumper with P on it.
It comes as The Games viewers were left concerned for Max George on Monday's opening episode as he suffered an injury during the men's 400m.The new series sees 12 super-fit celebs compete in sporting challenges, including in an athletics arena, swimming pool, gymnasium and velodrome.
