McDonald's staff threaten to quit over 'horrendous' new uniform involving joggers

McDonald's staff are threatening to quit over a big change to their uniform that includes new jogging bottoms and beanies. But the new range, which was designed to be sustainable and comfortable, has been criticised by some staff.
One worker told The Sun: "If I was forced to wear it, I'd walk out. And I'm pretty sure most of my colleagues would too."
They added: "People will be discouraged from working there. It changes the look to a more urban style which doesn't suit the brand at all.

"I just don't understand it. I think they're trying to be more like Five Guys and copy them - they're sacrificing practicality for style."
In a social media group for McDonald's staff, one person wrote: 'I like the idea they've tried with adding colour, but the execution seems horrendous", reports Wales Online.
'It's reminiscent of a 90s skater dude aka trying too hard to be cool. It just feels too casual overall - no one I've spoken to likes it and wants to wear it and I think that says it all.
Bukky, a worker in South London, said: "Having the option to choose what I wear is important to me."
Other comments included, 'It eliminates the whole part of it being uniform' and 'This doesn't even look like a uniform. What's wrong with our current one?
One worker grumbled: 'I have told many of my workmates that I'd rather leave than wear the new uniforms. I don't see what's wrong with our current ones.'

However, some people are defending, and even praising the new designs, and can't wait to wear them. One user said: "Personally I think they could be good if you're able to choose what you wear
