Maxïmo Park announce UK singles tour and share frenetic new song ‘Great Art’

Interpol have shared another new song from their forthcoming seventh album, ‘The Other Side Of Make-Believe’.The band have posted a follow-up cinematic video directed by Van Alpert (who has worked with the likes of Post Malone and Machine Gun Kelly) for the track ‘Something Changed’, which continues the story from their comeback single ‘Toni’.Frontman Paul Banks said of the video: “In ‘Something Changed’, part two of our short film with Van Alpert, reality and reverie converge and our two lead characters find themselves in a kind of dream state – being pursued inexorably by an ominous figure (played by myself.) The lives of the three are intertwined in a nebula of fear, retribution, desire, and defiance. Who will receive their just deserts? Stay tuned and find out!!!”Both tracks will feature on the band’s forthcoming album, which is out on July 15.“It was a blast working with Van Alpert on the video for our song Toni,” Banks said previously of working with the director.

Teenage Fanclub have shared a new single, ‘I Left A Light On’, which they say is the first indication that a new album may be on the way.The new song is a slow-burning, piano-led ballad with soaring strings, written by the band’s Norman Blake while they were mixing their latest album, 2021’s ‘Endless Arcade’. It was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales, and arrives alongside a video that shows the band performing it there.“As a band we’ve already started thinking about another new album,” comments Blake.

The band recorded the new single during lockdown by sharing audio files without hearing what their bandmates had recorded, utilising the Surrealist “exquisite corpse” method to compose the song.Each member was given one minute and eight tracks to record vocals and instrumentation, with an additional shared 60 seconds and four tracks to close out the song.

The Killers have announced details of the expanded, deluxe edition of their 2021 album ‘Pressure Machine’.The follow-up to 2020’s ‘Imploding The Mirage’ originally arrived back in August, charting at Number One in the UK in its first week.The Killers will now release a new edition of ‘Pressure Machine’ on March 25 via EMI, which will feature newly-realised and reimagined versions of select songs from the album that were co-produced by the band with Shawn Everett and Foxygen‘s Jonathan Rado.Such tracks as ‘West Hills’, ‘Runaway Horses’ (which was originally a collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers) and ‘The Getting By’ will be reworked for the new release.The Killers have also announced that on Monday (March 21) they will debut Notes From A Quiet Town, a new live film that will air exclusively on Facebook.
