Former MasterChef champion Simon Wood has announced a new style menu for his award-winning Manchester restaurant WOOD. The acclaimed chef is to celebrate the restaurant's sixth year on First Street with a 'more casual approach to dining'.
New menus will go live from Thursday, August 10, ditching the former fine dining tasting menu format - replaced with a range of small and larger plate options instead. It aims to showcase Simon's classic flavours but with a more casual style to suit different occasions for a range of diners.
It will also cater for different budgets too - with small plate dishes priced from £7. It gives diners the option of choosing an array of small plates and wines, or to have a full blown traditional three course meal to suit their social occasion.

“We are all about welcoming diners to an exciting place to experience high quality dishes in quietly luxurious surroundings and the dishes we have created offer playful flavour combinations, that make a fun dining experience that really delivers.”
The new format presents a relaxed experience with more choice to suit all occasions and combines new dishes full of flavour alongside some of the most popular dishes loved by the many fans of WOOD, Simon said.
