A masked gang raided a home and stole gold and watches before making off with two luxury cars.
The hooded thugs were caught on camera as they crept through the back garden of a plush property in Kirkcaldy, Fife, at around 6.30pm on Friday.
One man can be seen brandishing a crowbar in the footage, while holding what appeared to be a black safe in his other hand. Another man, wearing red gloves, is seen clutching a knife.
Police are now probing the break-in after CCTV footage also captured the three balaclava-clad men moving round to the front of the house before speeding off in a black Mercedes and white BMW that had been parked in the driveway.
Homeowner Ahsan Javaid was visiting Saudi Arabia for Umrah - an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca - when the robbery took place. He has been left devastated by the invasion on his home.
Appealing to the public for information to help catch the crooks, Ahsan said: "Our house was broken into while we are out of the country.
"We are away to Umrah, so they must have been monitoring the house. They ransacked the house to find all our valuables and they took a safe that contained gold and watches, my white BMW and black Mercedes.
"This stuff can always get replaced, but the worst thing is knowing that they were inside my house.
"It’s horrible to work so hard and people can just come along and help themselves. I just hope they get caught."
Police confirmed they attended Ahsan's property after receiving a report of the break in and their enquiries into the theft are ongoing.
A spokesperson said: “About 7.05pm on Friday, February 23, 2024 we were called to a report of a theft by housebreaking at a property in Craigfoot Walk, Kirkcaldy. Officers attended and enquiries are ongoing.”
