It’s a great start to the weekend for Mary Berry who has just been named a Dame in the Queen’s Birthday Honours sealing her title as a national icon.The Bake Off star was honoured alongside fellow legends Sir David Attenborough and Poiret star David Suchet, among others.Reacting to the news, the 85-year-old reportedly said she feels ‘overwhelmed’ to receive the great honour of being made a Dame and that it’s a pity her family aren’t here to witness her wonderful achievement.Speaking via PA, Mary
