Homes Under the Hammer presenter Martin Roberts has opened up about the time he had "less than a few hours to live" before undergoing surgery.

After Jeremy Renner suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries from a near-fatal snowplow accident, his "Avengers" co-star Scarlett Johansson wasn’t sure if she would ever see her friend again. However, he found out he was actually suffering from pericardial effusion, which is a build-up of fluid in the structure around the heart, and was immediately taken into surgery that saved his life. Martin explained that the sack around his heart was putting pressure on the vital organ and if it hadn't been caught he wouldn't be here to tell the story today.
