Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has insisted Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag's comment about the meeting between the two clubs back in September has not given the Gunners extra motivation ahead of this weekend's meeting at Old Trafford.
Arsenal came from behind to beat United 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on September 3, scoring twice deep into added time to seal all three points. At 1-1, United thought they had snatched all three points via Alejandro Garnacho, only for his goal to be deemed offside after a VAR review.
It was a marginal call and United felt the wrong decision had been made. United also felt they were worthy of a penalty after a foul on debutant Rasmus Hojlund inside the box.

Neither decision went United's way, giving Arsenal confidence as the contest went into its final stages. Despite registering 10 shots in comparison to Arsenal's 17, Ten Hag felt United would have been worthy of securing all three points.
"I think we deserved to win this game but you don't always get what you deserve," he told BBC Sport in the immediate aftermath of the game.
The Dutchman, out of nowhere, referenced the defeat at Arsenal again in February, once again insisting his side should have secured all three points: "I think we can beat any opponent. Away or home.
"Sometimes away, we have to believe more. We could have won in Arsenal. We actually deserved that win."
As a result of Ten Hag remaining defiant that United should have beaten Arsenal, it would be easy for the Gunners to have an extra sense of motivation ahead of Sunday's meeting at Old Trafford.
