Martin Lewis has issued urgent advice for E.ON customers on how they can significantly cut their energy bills.
The energy provider has announced customers can save cash on their bills over the next year through their E.ON Next Pledge Tracker tariff. The tariff promises that bills will track roughly £50 a year below the Ofgem price cap on average.
However, the tariff is only available to existing E.ON customers who can apply through its website. Furthermore, customers must pay their bills through direct debit and allow smart meters to be fitted into their home if one isn't there already.

Posting on social media, the money-saving expert explained the positives of the tariff and if it's the right choice for customers. He said: "The reason I'm interested in it is it gives you a discount off the price cap. So there's a big decision for people at the moment whether they want to get a fixed tariff or not.
"A fixed tariff locks you in to pay a set rate over the next year, whether that will work out depends on predictions of what's going to happen to the price cap. This isn't one of those.
"This is something different, which is why it needs an explainer. This is, for one year, a fixed discount off the price cap.
"The discount will be roughly 3 per cent. It has regional variances and it depends on usage. But let's say it's going to be roughly 3 per cent cheaper.
"So you pay 3 per cent less than whatever the Ofgem set price cap is. Now the price cap is due to drop by 7 per cent on the 1st
