Mark Wright turned down a huge job offer in Hollywood because he didn't want to leave his wife Michelle Keegan at home alone in Essex, according to the star. The 35 year old former TOWIE favourite revealed he'd been asked to present an exciting new dating show in the City of Angels, but sadly said no. While Mark was based in California for three years until the pandemic hit, presenting a major primetime entertainment show called Extra, he insisted he will never uproot his family permanently.
For one thing, the star and Our Girl actress Michelle, 34, have been working hard on renovating their £1.3million mansion in the Essex suburbs over the last two years. What's more, while the couple love the sun-soaked coastal city, and recently enjoyed a relaxing break there in between work commitments, Michelle is tied to her work in the UK.
“We love LA but we are not moving back there, not yet anyway," Mark told The Sun. “I was actually meant to host a really big dating show out there a few months ago but I couldn’t do it because I had to be in a bubble for three months and I wouldn’t have been able to leave so I had to say no." The reality TV star went on to say that he even spotted it on TV one night during his holiday, and was "devastated" to see how good it looked. But Mark hasn't regretted his decision since, as he and wife Michelle will always "love" England and their own little home more than any other opportunity.
“Michelle and I love being at home in England," the star continued. "England is so amazing and you don’t realise until you do something like I did how incredible it is. "I would never be able to live away
