Mark Ruffalo is on the cover of Variety‘s new issue.
Here’s what the 52-year-old actor had to share with the mag…
On the possibility of a Hulk stand-alone movie: “There’s an idea that I think could be really interesting. We’ve never really followed him into his life. He’s always kind of off on the side. He’s like the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern of the Avengers. It’d be interesting to fill in all the blanks about what happened to him in between all these movies.”
On the disproportionate impact

In the first episode of I Know This Much Is True, Thomas Birdsey (Mark Ruffalo) asks his identical twin brother Dominick (also Mark Ruffalo) to read him some comforting words from the biblical book of Psalms. Much less devout than his brother, Dominick needs a little help finding it.

Mark Ruffalo is looking back.
It was around this time in 2004, when we got one of the sweet romantic comedies that is a sure shot favourite for all rom-com suckers! 13 Going on 30 helped to elevate Jennifer Garner's leading lady success as she starred as Jenna Rink, who dreams of being thirty, flirty and thriving instead of being stuck in her awkward teenage years.
Has it really been 16 years since Jennifer Garner captured moviegoers’ hearts in the rom-com “13 Going on 30”?
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 16 years since Jenna Rink woke up and realized her wish had come true: She was no longer a 13-year-old girl being picked on. Now, she was 30 years old — and no idea what she was doing.

He didn't think he was "the right guy"
Avengers star Mark Ruffalo is open to headlining a stand-alone film for his character the Hulk.
Mark Ruffalo recently revealed that he came very close to turning down the role of Hulk in MCU’s The Avengers. It goes without saying that for any marvel fan, it is impossible to imagine any other actor besides Mark Ruffalo playing the role of Bruce Banner aka Hulk. During his latest interview with Variety, he recalled the time Marvel offered him the iconic role. He revealed that he tried to talk them out of casting him because he did not feel like he was the right guy for the job.
Ruffalo said "Blue Valentine" director Derek Cianfrance tried and failed to cast him in "Blue Valentine" in a role eventually played by Ryan Gosling, reports variety.com.
It's unfathomable to digest that nearly a year ago, we were anxious to hit the theatre screens to watch Avengers: Endgame, as it marked the end of the decade-long MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) journey while also beckoning towards a new era! While we had to ultimately see Iron Man and Black Widow sacrifice themselves and Captain America dies of old age, we have Hulk, Thor and Hawkeye, from the OG 6 Avengers, still existing in the MCU.
Iron Man got three of his own movies, as did Captain America. Thor has his own trilogy, too, with a fourth film on the way. Black Widow is, at long last, fronting her own solo outing. Even Hawkeye is getting a Disney+ series. So where's Hulk's movie?
