Mark Flanagan fans 'excited' as Netflix teases director's 'bats*** crazy' final horror series

Director Mark Flanagan is back with his latest spooky Netflix offering as Halloween approaches. The Fall of the House of Usher will be his fifth horror TV series created for the streaming service.
The new, eight-episode series is based on the 1839 Edgar Allan Poe story of the same name. It follows Roderick Usher, the CEO of a corrupt pharmaceutical company who must face his shady past when each of his children begin to die in mysterious ways.
Along with producer Trevor Macy, Mark's previous Netflix hits include the fan-beloved The Haunting of series - The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor; the critically-lauded Midnight Mass and The Midnight Club.

Teasing a poster on social media on Monday (September 5), Netflix's official Twitter account revealed The Fall of the House of Usher's release date. The post said: "They're dying to meet you. From creator Mike Flanagan, The Fall of the House of Usher arrives in time for spooky season on October 12."
The poster unveils the cast - which one fan described as the 'endgame' of Mike Flanagan projects. Midnight Mass' Carla Gugino and Annabeth Gish star in the new limited series, as well as and Mark's wife Kate Siegel - who has appeared in all four previous projects.
Star Trek's Bruce Greenwood portrays CEO Roderick Usher, while the cast also includes Star Wars icon Mark Hamill, Willa Fitzgerald, Mary McDonnell and Henry Thomas.
Reacting to the poster teaser on Twitter, @ThatOnePoes said: "Another October being fed by Mr Flanagan. Bless him" while @milesmcmullen11 added: "Very excited to see the next project from the king of tv horror".
@AmnaDeArmas said: "The one
