Manchester United boss Marc Skinner wants his team to 'put on a performance' in a historic fixture at Old Trafford.
United welcome Everton to Old Trafford in the Women's Super League on Sunday afternoon in what will be their first game at the stadium in front of fans. The women’s team first played at Old Trafford last season, winning 2-0 win against West Ham, but that fixture was played behind closed doors due to COVID-19 protocols, which denied the chance for any atmosphere.
Around 20,000 fans are expected inside Old Trafford to mark the occasion at the weekend as United look to continue their strong league form. United finished fourth last term and they currently sit in third, just ahead of Manchester City on goal difference.

Everton are towards the bottom of the table and Skinner is relishing the opportunity to deliver a memorable performance.
"It is a special stadium, without a doubt," Skinner told Sky Sports when asked about the occasion. "The energy inside will drive us on but the players aren't going to hear instructions they usually would so we're doing that throughout this week. The players will see their players, the fans and those they love.
"How they react is theirs to own. We have to control our 'controllables' and play to our principles and adapt to the game but it's going to be special. It just feels like the stadium has this wonderful history, and you can feel it, you can absorb it.
