Bruno Fernandes has called for unity as Manchester United aim to finish their season on a high following a tough few days at Old Trafford and beyond. United drew 2-2 with Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon and Fernandes was on target in that pulsating showdown.
It came following a last-gasp midweek defeat to Chelsea and United are winless in three games. That frustrating run has dampened their Champions League qualification aspirations with United now 11 points behind Tottenham and Aston Villa, although they do have a game in hand on Villa.
Despite a Europa League place looking more likely for United, at this stage, there is still chance that an additional Champions League berth with go to an English team. However, even in that scenario there would be serious work for Fernandes and his teammates to do.

After grabbing his tenth goal of the season in the Liverpool game, Fernandes took to social media in the aftermath and posted a short message to United fans via his Instagram account. It read: "A tough week, but we need to push forward together and finish the season strong."
Fernandes added a strong arms emoji to his post. It also featured a picture of him celebrating against Liverpool.
The 29-year-old and Kobbie Mainoo scored for United to put them 2-1 ahead after Luis Diaz opened the scoring at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. Mohamed Salah had the final say from the penalty spot to move Liverpool joint-top with Arsenal and leave United playing catch up on Tottenham and Villa above them.
