Manchester United have not decided on Alejandro Garnacho's potential involvement with Argentina in the upcoming Olympic games.
On Sunday night, a report in Argentina claiming United had blocked Garnacho from participating in the Olympics emerged but there has been confusion about that claim.
The Manchester Evening News understands United have made no final decision on Garnacho's involvement in the Olympics in Paris, which begins at the end of July.
Argentina will select an Under-23 football team to compete in the Paris Olympics and Garnacho would be a high-profile inclusion after an excellent season for United.

Sources have indicated there's a strong working relationship between United and Argentina and any decision taken on Garnacho will be agreed upon by all parties involved.
Garnacho made his 38th successive start in the FA Cup final victory against Manchester City and opened the scoring at Wembley after a mistake from Josko Gvardiol.
The youngster made 50 appearances across all competitions for United and being selected for the Olympics would extend his long season into the summer months.
Garnacho has already been named in Argentina's provisional 29-man squad for this summer's Copa America in the United States, which runs between June 20 and July 14.
Should Argentina make the final of the Copa America and Garnacho be named in the Olympics squad, there is a gap of just 10 days between those competitions.
The new Premier League season begins on 17 August, although United will play City in the Community Shield at Wembley on August 10 after lifting the FA Cup.
