But Mount, who has still not signed fresh terms at Stamford Bridge, could give manager Erik ten Hag what he is looking for in midfield - alongside Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes. But Chelsea, who have Mount contracted until 2024, are said to be after a sizable fee for their academy graduate.

The report claims that signing Mount is a 'high priority' for United this summer - but that the club is 'adamant' they don't want to go above £60m. Elsewhere, Daily Star reports that Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a bid for Jadon Sancho this summer. The winger has endured an underwhelming campaign at Old Trafford and Spurs are said to be contemplating a £50million move for the wide man.
