Manchester United have reiterated that Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale this summer, despite fresh reports suggesting a number of clubs are considering a move for him. The Manchester Evening News revealed earlier this week that United's inactivity in the transfer market and a salary reduction are among the issues that have convinced Ronaldo to try and seek a move away from the club.
However, senior United sources have firmly denied any suggestion they could sell Ronaldo this summer, reiterating that 'there is absolutely no change' in their position on the matter.
Ronaldo, 37, still has one year remaining on the deal he signed when he re-joined the club from Juventus for an initial €15million a year ago.

The Portuguese forward remains absent from United training due to ‘family issues’, an explanation that was accepted by the club. He missed their double session on Thursday, the third day of training this week.
It is still unclear whether or not Ronaldo will form part of the squad that departs for their pre-season tour on Friday afternoon, or at what stage he might join up with his teammates this summer.
Chelsea and Bayern Munich have both been credited with an interest in the Portugal international this week, though the German side quickly moved to deny any interest in a deal.
Ronaldo won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award last season, netting 24 goals in just 37 appearances across all competitions.
