Reports suggest the striker’s options away from Old Trafford are limited, with Bayern Munich distancing themselves, while Real Madrid and Chelsea have supposedly both ruled themselves out. In recent days, Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisbon have both been linked amid rumours Mendes has been offering his client to clubs with a 30 per cent wage reduction promise.
United fans will always appreciate and hail Ronaldo for his successes at the club, which include smashing home 24 goals last term. However, some on Twitter feel his time at the club is up and he should move on amid the team’s impressive performances without him in pre-season.
