Manchester United currently have a plethora of players out on loan, with some perhaps having already played their final game for the club.
Several players in the current United squad may also be about to play their last minutes at Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag himself not assured of a future at the stadium. Lisandro Martinez and Rasmus Hojlund are the exception to the rule when it comes to the Dutchman’s underwhelming signings.
One of the most questionable is Fiorentina loanee Sofyan Amrabat, who has barely played 45 minutes in the Premier League since Christmas. Ten Hag vehemently chased the Moroccan last summer and managed to get a deal over the line on deadline day.

Out of the seven arrivals that were secured last summer, Amrabat has been one of the least effective. His loan spell cost £8.5m, which equates to more than £1m per Premier League start (seven).
According to Tutto Mercato, United will refrain from triggering his £21m buy-out clause, but Amrabat also does not wish to return to Fiorentina, who have been irked by a drop in his value amid his drab loan spell.
Meanwhile, United have been accused of voting against the new Premier League spending cap proposals out of concern over advances made by Newcastle United and Aston Villa to disrupt the big six status quo.
