Harry Kane is tipped to join Manchester United after a key obstacle was removed by Bayern Munich.
The Reds are likely to bring in a new striker to support Rasmus Hojlund for next season, and Kane could be high on Erik ten Hag's list. Last summer, the England captain was Ten Hag's top transfer target, but talks were quickly halted due to Spurs' Daniel Levy's reluctance to sell to a direct competitor.
Instead, Ten Hag turned his focus to future talent, leading to Hojlund's £72million move from Atalanta. However, the 21-year-old has been shouldering most of the goalscoring responsibility among the club's forwards this season and is currently out with an injury.

An experienced forward who can both compete with and mentor Hojlund may be appealing for United this summer. It's unlikely that another player in the same age bracket as the Danish international will be signed.
Surprisingly, Kane is at risk of continuing his career-long trophy drought at Bayern this season, with Bayer Leverkusen on track for a historic Bundesliga title. Despite this, the England captain has been amazing on the pitch, scoring 36 times in 34 games for his team in all competitions and even beating United twice in the Champions League earlier this season.
Kane picked up a hat-trick and two assists on Saturday too, as Bayern romped to an 8-1 win over Mainz. And now Kevin Nolan, who coaches at West Ham United, spoke on talkSPORT, saying he thinks the player will come back and join United later on in his career.
