A man who was left furious by a selfish plane passenger decided to exact his revenge - but his method has split opinion. The traveller was making his way across the US, from Florida to California, to pay his best friend a visit.
He had pre-booked seat 23C and hadn't banked on there being competition to sit there. When he got there, however, he was surprised to find that a "twentysomething woman" had already bagged his spot.
Thinking there must have been some sort of confusion, he politely showed her his ticket and suggested she was accidentally in the wrong seat. But then she rolled her eyes at him and admitted she should be in seat 24C, directly behind, The Mirror reports.
The woman then refused to move and the man eventually took up her seat - but he decided to make her regret it. Posting about the situation on Reddit, he said: "After a 15-second stare down I say 'well?'
"She says she is 'comfortable already' and 'not moving' and 'wants to sleep' blah blah. Okay, I see how it is. Real dumb to put someone upset with you in the seat behind you."
Plonking himself down behind her, he then set to work getting his own back. He continued: "I proceeded to set a silent timer on my phone that went off every two minutes to remind myself to kick her seat, violently.
"Then every time the seat belt sign went off I'd get up, grabbing the top of the seat to lift myself up pulling her seat back and forth and one time (accidental but worth it) pulled her hair she put over the back of the seat.
"Safe to say she had lots of extra 'turbulence' and got absolutely no sleep. There were MANY death stares and head turns. Each time I would just smile and wave. I knew she wouldn't say anything either because she is not even supposed to be in that seat
