BBC presenter Nick Sheridan has tragically passed away at the age of 32, following a short illness. His death was announced by the BBC on Thursday morning and it has since been reported the TV presenter collapsed while out running and died shortly after, surrounded by his family. He is suspected to have suffered an aneurysm during his run.

BBC Scotland announced that presenter Nick Sheridan has sadly passed away at aged 32, and friends and colleagues have paid tribute to the "brightest human being". In a statement made today (March 7), Head of News and Current Affairs Gary Smith said: "Nick has been a wonderful colleague. He was a hugely talented journalist, presenter and author – and one of those rare people who light up the lives of everyone around them.
