A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries after falling from his bike on the M6. Officers were called out to the scene at junction 32, near Lancaster, after 6.30pm yesterday (June 1).
Lancashire Police says a Triumph Tiger 1050 motorbike which had been travelling north left the carriageway and hit the central reservation. The bike then re-entered the live lanes.
The motorbike rider, a man in his 50s, fell from the bike and suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition today (Sunday).

The motorway was initially shut in both directions while an air ambulance landed at the scene, before the southbound carriageway reopened. The M6 later fully reopened at around 12.40am.
Police are now urging any witnesses to come forward. Sgt Paul McCurrie, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision has left a man with some serious injuries, and I would appeal to anyone who saw the incident itself or who has any dashcam footage to contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Lancashire Police on 101, quoting log 1308 of June 1, or email the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at [email protected]
