A man is in hospital after an alleged 'stabbing' at Braehead Shopping Centre.
Police descended onto the premises on King's Inch Road in Renfrew following a report of a disturbance involving several people at 5.45pm on Friday April 7. Medics attended and on arrival, a 21-year-old man was found seriously injured.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment, where his current condition is unknown. Two men, aged 18 and 22, were arrested and charged in connection with alleged serious assault.
The pair are due to appear before Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday April 11. Police say inquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At 5.45pm on Friday, April 7, officers were called to a business premises in the King’s Inch Road area of Renfrew following a report of a disturbance involving several people. A 21-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance.
“Two men, aged 18 and 22, have been arrested and charged in connection with serious assault and are due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, April 11. Inquiries remain ongoing.”
