A man has died after being found with serious injuries in a common close in a Scots town.
Cops have locked down Brookfield Road, Port Glasgow after a 27-year-old man was discovered with serious injuries around 9.05pm on Saturday.
Mercy crews raced to the scene outside flats but sadly the man was pronounced dead.
Police have cordoned off the scene as they probe the circumstances surrounding the incident.
It is has not been confirmed if the death is being treated as suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.05pm on Saturday, April 27, a 27-year-old man was found seriously injured within a common close on Brookfield Road, Port Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended but the man died at the scene.
"The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation and enquiries are ongoing."
