Man City relay pitch during hiatus
With the Premier League postponed indefinitely and play only set to resume when it is ‘safe and appropriate to do so’, Manchester City are taking advantage of the added time.
The club have decided to relay the Etihad pitch so that it can be ready for when football does return, which, per a recent letter sent to EFL clubs, could be mid-June. A pitch takes eight weeks to reach peak condition, but it can be played on within four weeks.
