A man who was arrested after a stabbing outside a Tesco supermarket in Stockport has been bailed pending further investigations.
The incident happened near the shop on Heaton Moor Road in Heaton Moor at around 6.50am yesterday morning (Tuesday). Police officers and paramedics rushed to the scene.
A man - aged in his 30s - was taken to hospital with a minor stab injury. Another man - aged in his 50s - was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.

The arrested man also sustained 'minor injuries'. A police spokesperson said this morning that he has since been bailed.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Police said they believed it was 'isolated'.
A cordon was put in place outside the Tesco Express for several hours yesterday morning as forensic officers carried out investigations. The cordon stretched across the shop's car park off Heaton Moor Road.
In a statement issued yesterday, a GMP spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of a stabbing in Heaton Moor, Stockport, at about 6:50am this morning (12 April 2022). NWAS also attended the incident at Heaton Moor Road and a man in his 30s is being treated in hospital for a minor stab injury.
"A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and is also being treated in hospital for minor injuries. Police believe this to be an isolated incident at this time."
A Tesco spokesperson confirmed that the incident was not linked to the store. The shop was closed after the incident but reopened a short time later.
