A 45-year-old man has died after being hit by a car on the M60.
Police said the man was spotted walking along the clockwise carriageway near junction five for Princess Parkway before he was struck by a Mini Cooper.
He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported, police said, and no arrests have been made.
