Maisie Smith 'to return to EastEnders' three months after quitting BBC soap

Maisie Smith is reportedly set to make a return to EastEnders, three months after leaving Albert Square in December. Strictly Come Dancing star Maisie, 20, has played Tiffany Butcher on and off since she was six years old. But, she announced her decision to leave the soap late last year as Tiffany featured in a heartbreaking final storyline where her marriage crumbled.
However, it's since been reported that Tiffany will return to the BBC One soap for a cameo appearance next month. Zack announced he is set to leave the soap after five years playing the character.
A source has told The Sun: “Bosses felt Tiffany had unfinished business with Keegan that needed a resolution before he left. “So they decided to ask her back for one episode. Viewers will have to wait to see if they manage to fix their relationship or whether the bad blood that we’ve seen between them continues.” OK! has contacted BBC and Maisie's representatives for comment.Tiffany was last seen tearfully leaving Albert Square via Walford East station as she waited for her husband Keegan, who never showed up.The pair had married in November 2019 after eloping.
