MAFS star announces engagement in sweet New Year's Day post

Carly Bowyer has shared the exicting news that she is engaged to partner Neil Goldsmith. The former Married At First Sight Australia star shared that Neil had proposed on New Year's Eve, as she posted some photos of the romantic moment. Posting to her Instagram page, Carly shared a photo of Neil on one knee as he popped the question.
The happy couple were joined by their son Bailey in the sweek moment.
Captioning the snaps, Carly wrote: "So this happened.. [ring emoji] What a way to end 2023!" And commenting on the post, Neil quipped: "Better late than never [kiss emoji]" Fans were quick to congratulate the pair, with one one writing: "Congratulations cuties! What a picture perfect way to end the year. Can’t wait to hear the story!" "Congratulations, such beautiful news.
So happy for your fam! x x x x x" added another, while a third penned: "Wooohoooooo!!!!!!! Huge congratulations @carlybowyer and Neil. So so happy for you" Carly shot to fame in the fifth series of MAFS Australia, where she was paired up with Troy Delmege, but their pair split in the months following the show. Announcing the split at the time, Troy wrote: "Dear fans, it is with great sadness I want to let you know that Carly and I have decided to go our separate ways.
"I am so so sorry it hasn't worked out.
This is a very painful situation. We've had an incredible nine months together and it hurts to walk away." Carly has since moved on with Neil, with newly-engaged couple welcoming their first child back in 2020. At the time, Carly shared a sweet black-and-white photo as she held Bailey, alongside the caption: "Bailey 'Biscuit' Bowyer Goldsmith joined us 3 weeks early on 2/12/20.
