Madonna's Celebration tour gets underway after superstar books out five-star hotel and AO Arena

Madonna's long awaited Celebration tour kicked off last night, with the Queen of Pop taking to the stage at London's O2 Arena.
It comes after the superstar booked out an entire five-star hotel in Manchester, and used the city's AO Arena this week to prepare for the opening night of her tour.
The M.E.N previously revealed Madonna had been undertaking top secret rehearsals for the full show with her cast and crew inside the vast music arena space. The new tour is billed as a celebration of her entire 40-year pop career.

Last night (Saturday 15 October) fans were treated to top songs from her illustrious career, such as Vogue and Hung Up, the Mirror reports. They were also treated to some of her iconic dance moves, outfits and more.
The Like A Virgin singer's musical director Stuart Price told the BBC: "A greatest hit doesn’t have to be a song. It can be a wardrobe, it can be a video, or a statement."
Madonna had remained tight-lipped over her set list for the highly-anticipated tour but, fans knew the tour would document the pop star's incredible career – meaning fans expected to hear her biggest hits including Material Girl, Vogue and Papa Don't Preach to name a few.
Unsurprisingly, she didn't disappoint as she left the audience in awe with her endless outfit changes, saucy dance moves and emotional speeches.
It wouldn't have been a Madonna performance without her snogging one of the dancers and rocking negligees. Visuals were a big part of the comeback tour and crucifixes and astonishing clips took over the screens of the arena.
