Mark-Francis Vandelli hasn't ruled out a return to Made in Chelsea, admitting it was "never a conscious decision" to no longer appear on the E4 show.
The TV favourite - who recently starred on Celebs Go Dating - first appeared on screens back in 2011. Chatting with OK! this week, Mark said: "I went away for a long time, it just didn’t fit into my schedule anymore. But there was never a talk about whether I was doing the series or not; it was never a conscious decision.
That doesn’t mean that’s going to stay that way.
I’m open to anything." While Mark is open to a comeback, he admits he'd find it difficult to "fit" in with a new cast. He added: "I think it would be quite arrogant to think I’d still fit into a cast who I don’t really know and who are much younger than me." That said, Mark didn't know a single person when he signed up for the show. He explained, "I was the black sheep.
I didn’t know a single person. I had a jewellery shop on Mount Street and my lawyer worked for Fremantle Media. He told me it’d be good PR for my shop.
I said thank you but I’m not interested. I didn’t have time. "Then before I knew it two casting agents came to my house.
Someone let them in.
They recorded an interview with me. Before I knew it, I was at Raffles Nightclub at midday [filming]." A large portion of the Made In Chelsea cast is known for running in the same circles, with stars such as Spencer Matthews and Jamie Laing knowing one another from the age of 15. Many of the cast even went to the same private schools, with Spencer and Oliver Proudlock both attending Eton College, one of the most prestigious schools in the UK.
