A luxury, grade II listed hotel in a pretty Cheshire village has undergone a £850,000 transformation. Once the country sea of the Armitstead family, the De Vere Cranage Estate, part of De Vere's portfolio of country estate hotels, was designed by the famous British architect Lewis Wyatt.
Located on Byley Lane in Holmes Chapel, this historic rural retreat has seen an extensive refurbishment which includes the bedrooms, corridors and leisure facilities. Five of the 25 deluxe bedrooms at the red brick and warm yellow sandstone residence have been turned into interconnecting family rooms, Cheshire Live reports.
The corridors have been refreshed with a contemporary colour palette and new carpets, along with artwork featuring nods to the hotel's history and countryside setting. The bedrooms and en-suites have been decorated and styled to bring them in line with De Vere’s distinctly British aesthetic.
