In her new memoir, Process: Finding My Way Through, the singer opens up about the devastating impact that the assault had on her life, and says she feels let down by ITV.The incident took place in 2012, after the contestants enjoyed a night out together to celebrate Rylan Clark's 25th birthday.

Lucy told The Guardian how she thought it was "inappropriate" for the producers of the ITV show to provide contestants with "free alcohol" and she feels they let down their "duty of care." Lucy's rapist was soon arrested after the production team called the police. The star revealed that she was then given medication to prevent HIV, which made her so unwell that she was unable to continue with the competition. Lucy said that she wanted to reveal the truth about why she had to quit the show, but was told by various people, "You
