An inquest has been opened into the death of a ‘devoted’ Salford dad who died after being struck by a train.
Mathew James McManus died following the tragedy on a trainline between Humphrey Park and Trafford Park on November 9 year.
Emergency services rushed to the scene in Stretford at around 8pm but sadly Mr McManus was pronounced dead at the scene.
An inquest into his death was opened at Stockport Coroners’ Court today on Thursday (April 22).
