A Scottish photographer has shared images of a postbox decorated in honour of Burns Night that social media users are calling "lovely".
Burns Night is annually celebrated in Scotland on or around January 25. It commemorates the life and work of iconic Scottish poet Robert Burns.
The Wee Book Company took the images on Dunbarton Road in Glasgow on Tuesday. They show the postbox topped with a white knitted covering featuring two figures: one playing the bagpipes and the other holding a plate of haggis.
The images also show that Burns' poem Address to a Haggis is sewn onto a piece of tartan fabric. The poem was written in 1786 to celebrate his appreciation for haggis, and is traditionally recited at Burns suppers.
Taking to the Scotland from the Roadside Facebook group to share the photos, The Wee Book Company wrote: "On Dunbarton Road, Glasgow tonight. That time of year!"
Before long, the post had received dozens of likes from fellow Facebook users. Many were quick to share their thoughts on the unique decoration.
One wrote: "This is great! Well done to the maker."
A second echoed: "Looks fantastic. Well done to the thoughtful person who made it."
"Brilliant, the people who make these are very talented," shared a third, while a fourth simply said: "Aww lovely."
